So my mom made these for holiday parties when I was growing up. These are SO good – who wouldn’t like a savory and cheesy cookie! These are perfect for gatherings or cocktails with friends. Make a batch and freeze some to have on hand!

Ingredients

  • 2 C flour

  • 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 2 sticks butter, melted

  • 2 C crispy rice cereal

  • Dash Tabasco sauce

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a large bowl combine flour, cheese, salt and cayenne pepper. Add butter, cereal and Tabasco – mix well.
  • Roll into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Press flat using a fork.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until just beginning to brown around the edges.
  • Let cool completely – these are better once cooled as they crisp up. Enjoy!

Notes

  • These freeze well once baked!
