A tender shortbread cookie perfect for parties or the holidays!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 C softened butter

  • 1 C flour

  • 1/2 C cornstarch

  • 1/2 C sugar

  • colored sprinkles

  • powdered sugar

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
  • Cream butter with the flour, cornstarch and sugar until well combined.
  • Roll into balls, and place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly with a fork to make ridges.
  • Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  • Put some colored sprinkled on a small dish or plate. Mix some powdered sugar with a little water or milk to make a semi-firm frosting. Dip a “corner” of the cooled cookie into the mixture, then immediately dip into the sprinkles. Let set for about 30 minutes. Enjoy!
