A sweet and salty twist on classic monkey bread! The bacon and maple flavors pair perfectly in this morning (or anytime!) treat!

  • 10 pieces bacon

  • 1 stick (8 Tbsp) butter

  • 3/4 C packed dark brown sugar

  • 1/2 C pure maple syrup

  • 3/4 C sugar

  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon

  • 2 containers of refrigerated biscuit dough

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a tube or bundt pan with cooking spray.
  • Cook bacon until crisp. Drain, and crumble when cooled.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan. Add brown sugar and maple syrup and bring to a boil until sugar is dissolved (about 1 minute after it starts to boil). Remove from heat.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in a dish mixing well.
  • Separate biscuits and cut each into quarters. Coat each piece with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • In your prepared pan, sprinkle about 1/4 of the bacon crumbles on the bottom. Add about 1/4 of the brown sugar mixture, and place cinnamon sugar coated biscuit pieces in a single layer. Pour more brown sugar mixture over the biscuits, sprinkle more bacon, and add another layer of the biscuits. Continue to layer until all ingredients are used, ending with a drizzle of the brown sugar mixture.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for ~30 minutes. When done, cool for ~5 minutes and invert into a shallow dish. Enjoy!
