So easy – a classic pairing with beef or holiday meals, soups and stews, or as a breakfast treat with jam!

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp (1/2 stick) butter, melted

  • 6 eggs

  • 2 C milk

  • 2 C flour

  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare 2 popover pans (or enough pans for 12 popovers). Put in preheated oven for 2 minutes to heat up.
  • Combine 2 Tbsp melted butter, eggs, milk, flour and salt. Mix with a hand mixer until well combined.
  • Remove the hot pans from the oven, and pour a little of the remaining melted butter into each well, brushing the sides with butter.
  • Pour the batter into each cup dividing equally, about 3/4 full.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Reduce the heat to 325 degrees and bake another 15 minutes.
  • Serve warm – enjoy!

Notes

  • These are best served straight from the oven, but you can make ahead of time as well! Not recommended for freezing, but you can make a day in advance and store in an airtight container. When ready to eat, reheat in 425 degree oven for about 5 minutes.
